The Stags Head Hotel is situated in the delightful village of Goosnargh.
Goosnargh is a pretty village set in glorious countryside. The surrounding areas attract leisure visitors and those looking for the traditional inn atmosphere with fantastic food. Anyone dropping in at the Stags Head can be sure of a warm and friendly greeting. Fine ales, cask conditioned beers and wines complement the extensive food menus.
Soak up the atmosphere in the cosy lounge bar and on those chilly nights relax in front of crackling log fires, and on those warm summer days sit under the pagoda overlooking the Lancashire countryside.
This pub is my favourite in the world! The food is locally sourced and always tastes fantastic. I particularly enjoy the Goosnargh chicken and the chips which you won't find better anywhere- chunky cut and cooked in beef dripping, delicious!
High quality pub food but not over priced. We (2 adults and 2 children) usually spend about £30-40 on 4, 2 course meals including drinks.
My children, who are a little wild, are always made to feel welcome and are well catered for with a good menu and some colouring games.
The staff are always friendly and welcoming.
The pub itself has been renovated and extended over the last few years and is modern/cosy/rustic looking.
I can't recommend it highly enough.
Woodland Farm Shop - Girvan
Woodland Farm is best known for it's famous Ayrshire Early Epicure potatoes, but a fantastic range of home grown fruit and vegetables is also on sale in the shop.
