Southport brewery was started in April 2004 by Paul Bardsley at an industrial unit in the town.
Production started using a 2 barrel kit purchased from Buntingford Brewery in Hertfordshire.
After 2 years, due to demand for the beers, the brewery increased to a 5 barrel brew length with equipment swapped with Poachers Brewery in Lincolnshire. We also have a new copper, purpose built by Vincent Johnson Brewing Equipment in Rochdale.
In 2007 the last piece of the jigsaw was complete with 2 five barrel fermenting vessels bought from Bank Top in Bolton.
