There is no great secret to what we do: we simply raise the best animals, in the happiest of circumstances, on the finest stretch of the Yorkshire Moors we could find. Only by ensuring that our pigs, cattle and sheep receive the highest level of care can we be sure our customers will receive the quality they have come to expect. It's not a philosophy or mission statement. It's just what we do.

This butcher is amazing. Although I can't tell the difference between supermarket meat and good meat just by looking at it when you cook it you can really tell. Ginger pig meat is totally natural so it doesn't shrink or leak water like supermarket meat and the flavour is really lovely, especially the lamb and bacon. Although it is expensive you need less because it's not artificially bulked up. Also I'd rather my kids ate food without preservatives and I really trust The Ginger pig for that.

Their pork belly for a roast is sublime! A great affordable cut with mind-blowing results. The place is a conscientious meat-eater's paradise!....and right next to Marylebone farmers market for the accompanying 'two veg'! Excellent!

With a name like this I had to try the bacon. Great flavour, no white mess in the pan and reasonable price for the quality. Reccomended.

Excellent butcher's shop tucked away in a corner of Borough Market. Specialise in pork but also sell beef, lamb and mutton, chicken, sausages and occasional 'specials' eg. wild rabbit and pheasant, also delicious pies and cured meats. Service is first class and very knowledgeable, and they will cut meat to your specification and are happy to discuss your needs. Prices are quite reasonable too - a huge chicken that cost £14 ended up doing 3 meals, serving 15 people in total!
