The Crown Hotel, a former coaching inn which overlooks the quiet tree-lined green known as The Buttlands. The hotel has been refurbished to retain its character whilst creating an atmosphere of uncluttered comfort.
Whether you eat casually in the bar, or more formally in the restaurant, every meal at The Crown is freshly prepared from the best ingredients.
The menu features traditional favourites, the best of modern British cuisine, and dishes influenced by the cooking of the Pacific Rim. Every dish is cooked and presented with flair and imagination. A superb wine list complements the menus.

Although The Crown is a hotel, the bar and restaurant are open to everyone. The food here is absolutely fabulous as is the friendly and relaxed atmosphere. You have the choice of booking and eating in the restaurant or just popping in to the bar having a bite there. The food served in the bar is prepared with the same care and attention as that in the restaurant but get there early, it's very popular - A fantastic place to eat!
