The Orange Elephant at Taverners farm is just fantastic, This is a working organic farm which started a butchery section and has now flourished (mainly by word of mouth) into a great butchery with details of where meat has been sourced from(with a well infomed butcher John, a fantastic ice cream parlour with ice cream made form the milk of their South Devon Cows, a new kitchen garden with vegetables, herbs and fruit sold in their farm shop. The atmosphere here is always friendly and helpful, they often run days with barbeques or farm visits and have new born calves that can easily be seen. We always buy our turkey here and other meat and produce and think they are doing a fantastic job !
