We collect our fresh produce from Glasgow fruit and veg market. We also use the markets in Newcastle and Edinburgh to get as much variety as possible and to source as much British fare as possible getting up at 2 or 3 am for you lovely people is our pleasure.
One of the most pleasing aspects of our work is the opportunity to source from local producers. We have actively sought out local growers such as the Gilchrists from West Meikle Pinkerton who supply us with, amongst other things, our fantastic sweet dirty carrots.
Crunchy Carrot is more than just a food and veg shop. Its like shopping in your front room. They supply a wide range of fruit and veg some of which is locally sourced. This local produce is fairly traded with the producers and obviously taste better cause it hasn't traveled miles before it gets to the customer. Its not just fruit and veg thats local they have local bread,eggs,milk,jams and pickles,chocolate,cards and much more. The shop also has a wide range of organic whole foods and a refill setup for eco cleaning products. The Crunchy Carrot runs a box scheme which is very popular. Shopping is a joy in the Crunchy Carrot.
