Located on Oxford's Cowley Road, it's obvious what Alders is from the large smiling fibreglass butcher stood on the street outside. Inside is a proper traditional butchers where you can choose from the produce on display, or ask for something to be cut specially for you, generally done while you wait. This little shop offers a good range of freerange and organic meat, as well as other local produce such as eggs and pickles. I've never found more helpful staff than the butchers at Alders.
