Hello, I’m Reggie and I’m the voice of local food. That's because I’m your voice. When you Reggie-ster (sorry) on this site, you will be able to get involved in helping promote and share what's great and sometimes, what's not so great about the food that's produced and sold around you. And, by shopping locally, with local suppliers you will also help the local economy.
I live in York and ordered using the online order form. At 5:30pm on the day of delivery I called as the box had not yet arrived. The number listed here and on their website didn't work, I had to search and found this mobile number: 07769 704677.
I was told that they had refunded me as they did not deliver to York, even though it stated on their website that they do and gave the delivery day. They did not bother to call to let me know this and I was left having to make an evening supermarket trip when that's where I'm trying to avoid shopping.
A great farm with excellent shop and restaurant this is really offering locals a bit of everything. There is a bakery on site and they are now looking at setting up a micro dairy
Bought some Cleveland bangers from Burtons Bangers stall outside BHS in Middlesbrough Town Centre yesterday. OMG they are the best i have ever tasted, no shrinkage when cooked and hardly any fat from them, carn't wait to try the others flavours plus their bacon too :) I may even have to start having them delivered on a regular basis. I will be telling all my family and friends. I highly recommend them

Hi
The last post is sooooo out of date.........
The Shop changed hands a couple of years ago and is now owned by Richard & Ruth Kelsey (http://www.hallwoodfreshveg.co.uk/) and run by a number of knowledgeable and friendly staff
I buy all my veg there and their own carrots are unbelivabley good!
they also sell lovely free range eggs and jams and lots more....
Well worth a look if you're in Okehampton :)
The first time we tried Ballardsfield farms pork, was at the Grampound Farmers market last xmas,it was simply delicious.
Consequently we have been back and have also visited their farm shop at Laddock, where you can see all the free range pigs happily doing what pigs do best outside in the lovely cornish countryside.
A charming family run buisness who care about the breed and quality of life for their stock, and it shows in the meat,I highly recommend this farm.
Deliciosa Tapas Bar and Restaurant is fantastic. They serve a variety of different dishes (all small tapas sized) so you aren't limited to just Spanish tapas. The service is second to none, they can't do enough for you. We first started eating at Deliciosa when they were a deli/coffee bar. Then they changed to a fully fledged small restaurant and now they've moved into a much bigger building (round the corner from the old one), so they have more seating and a full bar.
Some example dishes from their menu:
Chorizo in Red Wine
Lone Star Chilli
Calamaris
Russian Salad
Aubergine Fritters
Patatas Aioli
Churros
Blueberry Pancakes
They also do a child's menu, and we can confirm they are child friendly (our 8 month old loves to visit!!)
They also have regular special offers to make it easier to try their full menu and large parties are welcome too. Have you guessed yet that we're big fans of this local restaurant?!?!
Their website with menu, directions etc. is http://www.deliciosa.co.uk
